About Me

Hi! My name is Monica, I have been a professional software developer since 2006. I have worked at various startups and agencies building web applications. My main technologies are: Rails, React, Node.js and Elixir/Phoenix. I have occasionally done work with Ember, Angular and Phonegap.

I also really enjoy teaching. I was part-time instructor and curriculum editor at Lighthouse Labs for several years. I also got a chance to volunteer at "learn to code events" like Ladies Learning Code, Girls Learning Code and Gathering Our Voices and HTML500.

When I'm not coding, you can find me working on a Ford Transit camper van conversion or rock climbing in Beautiful British Columbia.
